INVESTOR LEAD GENERATION · TSX.V: LUCA

Luca Mining Corp.

A landing page built to take a cold stock investor to a research report download.

The brief

Luca Mining is a mining company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Two producing mines in Mexico. Gold, silver, copper, zinc and lead.
This page was built as a demonstration piece for an agency evaluating me. Luca didn't commission it. But the company is real, the audience is real, and the brief was real. The page is what I think they should have.
One goal. A visitor arrives cold, knowing nothing. They leave having handed over a name and an email in exchange for a research report.

The audience

Retail investors in junior mining are not a soft audience. They've been sold to badly for years. Pump-and-dump newsletters, urgency banners, borrowed credibility, charts that only go up.
They've developed an immune response. Anything that looks like marketing gets discounted immediately, and the harder a page pushes, the faster they leave.
So the whole design rests on one decision: don't sell.

The decision

Build it like a prospectus, not a landing page.
That means restraint everywhere. Dark navy and gold, because that's the visual language of financial documents, not of DTC. Type that's set to be read, not to shout. No rounded corners, because rounded corners are friendly, and friendly is not what this audience trusts.
One call to action. Repeated. Nothing else on the page competes with it.
The page is quiet on purpose. In this sector, quiet reads as confident, and confident is the only thing that gets a download.

The build

WordPress. Elementor. Designed, built and deployed solo.
Design system locked before the first section went in. Navy #1C2B39, gold #C0B661, teal eyebrows, Oswald headings, Manrope body.
No rounded corners anywhere on the page.
WPForms for the capture. Report delivered on submit.
Deployed to a live subdomain with SSL.
Full QA pass before handoff, desktop and mobile.

What I'd do next

This page has never taken traffic, so it has no conversion data. If it went live, the first thing I'd want is the scroll depth on the section above the fold and the drop-off before the form. Those two numbers tell you whether the restraint is working or whether it's reading as thin.
That's the honest version. Anyone who tells you a page converts before it's seen a visitor is guessing.
